Premodern Healthcaping houses several research projects focused on exploring pre-industrial or ‘premodern’ public health across Europe, South Asia, and the Middle East. Our various projects include case studies on rural and urban settlements, mining communities, pilgrims and mystics, and armies. See below for a summary of our projects.
