New Book! Raúl Villagrasa-Elías’sbook Pensar los hospitales del mundo ibérico (ss. XIV-XVI). (History of Hospitals in Iberia) has been published by the Spanish National Research Council.
The book defines several concepts such as “hospital networks”, “hospital reforms” and “hospital models” in the Christian kingdoms in the late Middle Ages and early modern period. The last chapter addresses the role of writings as causes of the growth of these institutions, rather than as a consequence of it.
